Support eBay’s Giving Works As It Benefits Everyone!

As we quickly approach October we happily welcome Breast cancer awareness month which is recognised worldwide.  Breast cancer comprises 22.9% of all cancers in women and is 100 times more common in women than men; with shocking stats such as these all donations to assist in finding a cure are incredibly important!

The eBay giving works “Make It Pink” campaign makes it very easy for everyone to support “pink” non-profits.

There are many ways that we can all give to such a great cause:

Purchasing items from eBay to give directly to the cause. Just by shopping at the Make it Pink  page where you can buy special “pink” deals. Some of the great deals are one-of-a-kind memorabilia, and experiences with celebrities like Fergie and Reese Witherspoon. Each purchase from the page helps support the life-saving work of non-profit organisations such as Bright Pink, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Avon Foundation for Women, and The American Cancer Society.

Another fantastic thing you can do is to donate a percentage from the items your selling on eBay. If your listing from the ebay.com platform you can list an item and choose a non-profit organisation that supports breast cancer research to donate to when your item sells. You’ll get a boost in search results and a receipt for your tax-deductible donation, so everyone benefits! Buyers are  also more inclined to shop with you over a seller that doesn’t donate to a charity.

eBay are asking users of the site to share your story. By visiting the eBay Facebook page you can connect with breast cancer patients, survivors, supporters, and caregivers by telling of your own journey. For every story you share, eBay will donate money to “Make it Pink” non-profit’s, and each story goes in the draw to win $1000 eBay certificate.

eBay is hoping to beat last year’s campaign which raised $242,000 for breast cancer awareness and drove 58,000 listings on eBay that benefited breast cancer organisations.

So what are you waiting for go ahead and join the millions of eBay community members that are making a difference in people’s lives.

Have a fantastic eBay weekend,

Matt and Amanda Clarkson.
