Knowing What You Want In Your eBay Business

When you first start your eBay business, it is an adventure, we set sail and off we go to the horizon, but as the horizon draws nearer you may find, this isn’t the direction you want your business to go or your goals might have changed along the way.

As you grow your business you’ll need to make sure you don’t get stuck like a rat on the wheel and work harder than you were at the start.
As you find your niche market and source your suppliers and products you’ll need to make sure you have a “blueprint” that keeps you focused and always has constant revising or even expansion when your business is ready for it.

If you get to these stages and haven’t put something in place it can feel like you are going around in circles. So you really need to think ahead, what do you want from your business, ask yourself to clarify what it is you want out of your business, money, free time, activity, more employee’s, less employee’s, fame etc.

Do proper and thorough research to see if expanding your business will actually give you the right results, for instance when you expand you’ll probably have to work longer and harder, you have to ask yourself is this what I want or is there a better way, like hiring staff or outsourcing to another company…

Remember eBay is a business and you need to treat it like a real business, so as the owner you’ll have to take the responsibility to plan and carry out the changes and expansion of your business. You might even have specific dates or months when you need to relook at the business and the direction it is going and if it is on track to reach your specific goals. This way you can see just how much work needs to be done and plan whether you can do the work alone or if you would need to get help or if you are going to have enough products to sell for that time frame…

So you can see there is lots to think about and once you do your blue print you will be able to see the big picture and plan it out in your mind so you can stay on track to reach your ultimate success and goals on eBay.

Til next time, have a great eBay weekend!
